This guide will walk you through the principal steps for using QuDEFENSE Transfer to get set up on the transfer platform, walking you through the process step by step.

10 SIMPLE STEPS
1. Register and Log in to access your Dashboard where you can purchase transfer credits.
2. Select an action you wish to perform from the left column.
3. Upload a file you wish to send or Download a file that you’ve received.
4. If Uploading, enter a verified user’s email, select a file, add a message to the recipient, and click Upload.
Important: Do not hit the refresh button or logout of QuDEFENSE while the file you’re sending is Uploading to the Cloud. This is stop the transfer and you’ll lose your Transfer Credit.
Once the file has been uploaded to the cloud, it will show that status on the tunnel map and you can safely close your browser while the process continues. Note: emails are sent to both the sender and the recipient of the file to notify them a file has been sent and will arrive soon.
You may control how long the file is available for download by the recipient before you click Send.
5. If you need more Transfer Credits, you can purchase them via the Dashboard at any time. Once you’ve purchased additional credits, you will see the additional purchased credits added to your account in your dashboard tracker.
For example, if you have 2 credits and purchase 10 more, your dashboard will now show 12 credits.
6. If Downloading, go to the bottom of the dashboard and select the file you wish to download, checking the status on the visual path above to verify the file is ready.
Note that you do not need credits to download a file that has been sent to you. However, if you wish to change the file and return it to the sender, you’ll need to have a credit to use for the return send.
7. Once the file is downloaded, you will see it in your File Explorer Download folder and be able to move the file to any folder on your device or in your network to which you have access.
Remember, this file is now in your possession and is no longer invisible to others. Use best practices for the security of files when storing them on your device.
8. If you’ve finished your Upload-Send or your Download process, you can close your web browser. You will automatically stay logged in for 2 hours at which time QuDEFENSE will log you out. If you wish to log out immediately, click your name in the upper right corner of the dashboard and select Log Out.
9. Remember, your Dashboard tracks the files you’ve sent or downloaded and their current status. Once a file is downloaded, it’s no longer in the QuDEFENSE cloud. The sender will be notified that you’ve downloaded the file.
10.QuDEFENSE Transfer will transmit your file, up to 9GB, with 256k encryption. You may combine files in a zipped file for sending. QuDEFENSE Transfer will encrypt the entire file set, just as it does for a single file. Files can be in any format.
